About the Role: Attention all Primary and Secondary PE teachers! Tradewind is excited to collaborate with an F-9 school in Tarneit, offering a full-time, ongoing PE position starting in Term 1, 2025. This opportunity allows you to guide students in Primary or Secondary only, or a combination of both. Work within a supportive PE faculty team in a growing school dedicated to student learning and wellbeing. Key Duties: Designing and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate PE lessons that align with the Victorian Curriculum in Primary/Secondary. Providing clear instruction and demonstration of movement skills, sports techniques, and fitness exercises. Teaching a range of topics related to physical education including health and well-being, nutrition, mental health, and personal development. Conducting physical fitness assessments to evaluate students' strength, flexibility, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness levels. Providing guidance and constructive feedback to help students improve their individual and team-based skills. Instilling values of sportsmanship, fair play, and teamwork through organized sports and group activities. Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment by implementing appropriate safety procedures and risk management strategies during physical activities and sports. Organizing and maintaining PE equipment, sports gear, and facilities to ensure they are safe, functional, and accessible for students. Assessing students' progress and achievement in PE through various forms of assessment, such as skill demonstrations, performance tasks, fitness tests, and written assignments. Skills & Experience: Unrestricted working rights in Australia. Valid VIT registration. Demonstrated previous experience in teaching PE in Australia. Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable). Offering: Commencing this term (Term 1, 2025) on a full-time, ongoing basis. Guiding students in P-6, 7-9 or a combination of Primary/Secondary.
