Our client, a global leader in the oil and gas industry, is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team on a 12-month contract.
As the Health and Safety Coordinator, you will support the safety, security, health, and environment teams and be the point of contact for all regional advisors.
You will assist the workforce in the administration of safety, security, health, and environment processes.
Further responsibilities will include the following: Develop Safety, Health, and Environmental training on safety procedures and practices for the plant as well as contractors.
Set up a system for implementing the safety plan, including hardware, software, data flow, analysis techniques, and reporting format.
Develop a safety communication plan for employees and contractors.
Design a safety incentive program.
Coordinate the development of the Waste Management, Environment, and Industrial Hygiene plan for the turnaround.
Review Contractor safety plans.
Be part of the team to perform risk analysis of specific jobs.
Implement the safety program.
Compile Safety, Health & Environment statistics.
The successful candidate must possess: Demonstrated work experience in safety-related positions.
Experience within construction safety-related positions.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
