We are seeking a HSE Coordinator to join our project: Goorambat Solar Farm . The Goorambat Solar Farm is a renewable energy development located about 12 kilometres north of Benalla and about 500 metres to the south of the Goorambat township in Victoria, on the land of the Yorta Yorta people. Your Role and Responsibilities: We are looking for a local operative with Victorian centric experience. This role will see you influencing employees, contractors and visitors on all Health & Safety matters in line with Bouygues Construction policies and procedures.The HSE Coordinator will provide support, coordination, and advice of HSE practices, systems and procedures within the Project and will develop and administer education and compliance programs for employees, contractors and visitors. The HSE Coordinator will also provide direction and support to the team to develop and implement adequate HSE training within the Project. Assist in monitoring (ongoing) as subcontractors commence (upward reporting to Project Safety Manager) Communicate HSE requirements to subcontractor's onsite Review Subcontractor HSE Interview Questionnaires and verify the capability of the subcontractor to deliver the required work task to agreed HSE standards Report any key issues to project leadership team and regional HSE management Assist in identification of key areas and develop HSE training needs analysis (safety and L&D supporters) Assist/carry out monitoring of current competencies and support ongoing development needs. Deliver training throughout project (where client allows) Assist in incident investigations and report to appropriate personnel Assist in site communication. Prepare project or workplace HSE inductions and prepare, conduct and/or coordinate HSE training programs Regularly review project HSE systems and plans against activity requirements Enter and extract data from incident management system Qualifications and Experience: Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent Cert IV in Environmental Management Bachelor degree in Safety, Environment, Engineering, Project Management or other associated disciplines ISO45001 and/or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Qualification Previous experience as a HSE Practitioner in Construction and Engineering, heavy industry or other high-risk industry. Previous experience working under Victorian Workplace Health and Safety legislation and Codes of Practice. Preferred previous experience in Solar Farms in regional Victoria Knowledge of business administration Capability of using HSE management and technique tools/software Incident report and management skill Skills and Knowledge Required: Skill in HSE management techniques and tools Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects Skills in data gathering, statistical and trend analysis Conducting and interpreting audits and reviews Skills in document management processes including recording, monitoring and archiving and producing routine written communications Skills in identifying HSE improvements to systems, processes and/or products Experience using relevant computer software packages; use of basic functions of word processing, spreadsheet and email software Monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement on performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance. Training in basic risk activities and programs to small groups Knowledge of Safety & Rehabilitation Management Systems and relevant IMS procedures Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and relevant IMS procedures Knowledge of applicable standards especially AZ/NZS 14001:2016 and AZ/NZS 45001: 2018. Knowledge of Safety legislation and statutes, and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to the Project Knowledge of Environmental legislation and statutes, and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to the Project Expert in project management structure, plans and implications for HSE and accountabilities Knowledge of auditing, HSE inspections and compliance reporting procedures and processes Knowledge of compliance and reporting procedures and processes Knowledge of document compliance procedures and processes and understanding of technology to support HSE systems Ability to implement naming convention and document control strategies within a project based system Understanding of Incident Management and reporting involving multiple internal and external parties Please note that this position is located on-site and FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) is not available.
