We're currently looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organisation's data, hardware, software, and networks.
About the role: Based in our Mount Waverley office, you'll work closely with IT and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable cyber security services across Sumitomo Forestry Group and its subsidiaries - Henley Properties Group, Scott Park Group and Wisdom Homes & Regal Landscaping Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you'll identify control requirements and collaborate with IT teams to implement these controls, ensuring protection against data theft, loss, or unauthorised access Your key responsibilities include: Developing an understanding of IT systems, business processes, and applications to identify any gaps within the control environment.
Responding to vulnerabilities discovered by vendors or internal audits, assessing the potential impact on the business, and coordinating the patching process.
Supporting IT teams in managing response capabilities, including IT disaster recovery (DR), business continuity planning (BCP), and cyber incident management.
Taking responsibility for key security controls, ensuring they are properly implemented, managed, and tested, with timely and efficient resolution of any issues.
Providing guidance on underlying control issues and collaborating with IT teams to ensure resolutions are applied quickly and effectively.
About you: In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the organisation's security framework by ensuring the processes, tools, and systems we rely on are always secure, compliant, and effective in preventing cyber threats.
Your ability to identify, manage, and resolve vulnerabilities, and work with IT to implement swift and practical solutions, will be key to maintaining the security integrity of the business.
To be successful in this role you'll have: A proven track record with at least 5 years of experience as a systems or network administrator.
A minimum of 2 years in a cyber or information security role.
Tertiary qualification/s in Information Technology or Cyber Security, and relevant IT/Cyber certifications to support your expertise.
A strong understanding of risk management and incident response, with the ability to quickly analyse, assess, and resolve security incidents.

You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, and your strong communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively across teams.
