JOB DESCRIPTION PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and facilitate Letter of Offers and other letters related to the employee lifecycle.
Manage the completion of pre-employment checks and onboarding requirements for new hires.
Coordinate the offboarding of employees as per the established processes.
Coordinate payroll documentation such as new hires, terminations and changes to employment across the business working with Group Payroll ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Support people leaders and the Talent Acquisition team with recruitment-related systems and processes.
Provide input, assistance, or function as a standby to the Country HR Manager in processing payroll.
Lead contact for time keeping program (NOV Time) for employees, payroll and HRT team for any request or issues.
Assist with Work Cover claims in conjunction with the HSE Advisor, Manager/Supervisor, Payroll and external parties.
Manage Employee Benefits through Mercer Marsh and UCover ensuring information is accurate and providers are aware of any changes in a timely manner.
General HR administration including employee documentation, data entry, reporting and checklists to ensure compliance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HUB.
Manage the OT-AUS-HR inbox and respond to employee queries, ensuring quality, timely delivery and escalating issues as needed.
Support the administration of People & Culture initiatives and programs.
Provide support to the Country HR Manager in developing or updating HR manuals/ policies and job descriptions.
Assist in several HR administration tasks or compile data/metrics for reporting.
Ensure ongoing optimization of our HR systems and processes of work.
Assist with various visa processes with our immigration lawyers to ensure compliance with immigration legislation and policy.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS Tertiary qualification - Diploma or Degree in Human Resources (required).
EXPERIENCE Essential 2+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
2+ years of Payroll experience.
Good knowledge of Australian and NZ employment legislation.
Good knowledge of MA000010 - Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2020.
Able to interpret EBA.
Demonstrated experience in an administrative role.
Microsoft suite- Advanced level user of Word/Excel/Power Point tools.
A strong understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Desirable Experience in using ADP or similar payroll systems.
Experience in using Kronos or other time keeping programs.
Use of recruiting platforms- Applicant tracking systems/tools/ software.
Identify and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the employee experience.
Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative.
Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Positive 'can do' attitude.
Strong capability in building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders, internally and externally.
