As the Inbound Team Lead , you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of the inbound department, ensuring the efficient and timely receipt of goods while maintaining stock accuracy.
In close collaboration with the Supply Chain and Operations teams, you will oversee the inbound flow of products, ensure compliance with company procedures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives at our Melbourne Fulfilment Centre located in Altona North.
Your Role: Lead and manage the inbound team to ensure accurate and timely processing of all inbound goods.
Maintain and improve Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to optimise efficiency and stock accuracy.
Oversee day-to-day team operations, maximising staff utilisation and managing costs to stay within budget.
Develop and implement training and succession plans to continuously upskill the team and enhance productivity.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) requirements.
Identify areas for improvement to drive operational efficiency and collaborate with the Supply Chain team for product availability.
Minimum Requirements: Experience in warehouse or fulfilment operations, with a focus on inbound logistics.
Previous leadership experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
Available for early morning shifts, starting as early as 5 AM.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience managing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and team costs to budgets.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
Ability to identify and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency.
A strong understanding of FSQA requirements and the ability to enforce them.
