Competitive Salary and NFP salary packaging options About the role VMCH Independent Living house in Wangaratta provides those with a Disability a place to learn life skills at their own pace in preparation to live independently in the community and empowering them to live the lifestyle of their choosing.
You will be providing individualised capacity building supports to increase independence to complete a range domestic tasks and administrative tasks.
You will also have the opportunity to work across a variety of the programs we offer, from our group programs to working 1:1 with people in their homes or to access the community.
Successful candidates will be required to work a range of rostered shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, weekends, sleepovers.
About You You will have experience working with people with a disability and have the passion and drive to support them to gain skills to live independently in the community.
Skills & Experience Experience in working in the Disability, Community or Healthcare sectors.
Experience developing life skills and capacity building.
Certificate III Individual Support or Certificate IV Disability or similar (desirable) Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate Current valid full Driver's Licence, Car Insurance and Car Registration NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check (WWCC) Basic level of computer and administration skills.
