Join our dynamic Group Internal Audit team, where you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the control environment at CLP and Energy Australia! We provide essential assurance to the Audit Committees, helping management ensure that their activities are well-controlled and aligned with strategic goals.

About the Role As the Internal Audit Manager, you'll drive the completion of our approved audit plan, collaborating with various business units to understand their unique risks.
This role involves developing and executing a risk-based audit program that maximises efficiency and effectiveness.
Plan and lead the timely execution across a broad and complex range of compliance, operations, and application systems audits in accordance with the standards of CLP Group Internal Audit, department and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Identify risks and control deficiencies as well as process improvements, insights, and simplification of auditees' tasks.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the audit methodology through automating audit tasks and embedding new audit techniques to improve the value of the engagements.
Assist in preparing quarterly reporting to CLP Group Internal Audit and CLPH Audit Committees.
Assist with timely completed irregularity reviews and investigations into Fraud or Code of Conduct non-compliances.
Ensure regulatory, legal and Energy Australia policies are complied with throughout the execution.
How can you support the Clean Energy Transition With a desire to be part of the clean energy transition and prior audit experience, you'll ideally have the following: Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or related discipline.
Post-graduate qualification (e.g., CA or CPA) preferred.
Strong experience in auditing both financial and operational units.
Experience from a large accounting firm or ASX top 50 company in internal/external audit or related discipline preferred.
Effective and skilled influencer and collaborative communicator.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Leadership capability as potential successor to the Head of Group Internal Audit, with relevant leadership presence.
Strategic thinking ability.
Leadership experience in an audit function, emphasizing teamwork, integrity, flexibility, and initiative.
