Investment Analyst / Transaction Analyst / Development Analyst

The Company Our client is a leading global real estate investor.
The real estate team is a very high performing group and due to the continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an Analyst to join the team.
The Role As part of a small team focused on transactions and working on development opportunities, duties will include: Analyzing investment and development opportunities.
Addressing sensitivities in underwriting assumptions maximizing returns by evaluating factors such as capital structure, debt/equity ratio, legal and tax frameworks, capital expenditure plans, rents, growth rates, capitalization rates, lease-up periods, operating expenses, and asset strategies.
Preparation of presentation materials including financial models to the investment committee.
Build relationships with equity partners including institutional groups, and local brokers in the market.
Creation and review of regular cash flows, budgets, business and operating plans.
Financial and valuation modelling.
Your Profile: In order to be considered for this opportunity, it is important you are able to meet the following criteria: 2-6 years' experience within Transactions, Development, Private Credit or Valuations setting.
Degree in Finance, Economics, Property, or Valuations preferred.
Must have extremely strong financial modelling experience, being able to build models in Excel from scratch as well as manipulate models and pull them apart.
A good understanding of how capital and debt works.
Experience running acquisitions on large scale deals $150m+.
A strong interest in the real estate sector.
Highly motivated, self-starter who adopts a business owner mentality.
Good communicator and team player.
Highly numerate with a strong attention to detail.
Prior experience in liaising with key project stakeholders including joint venture and operating partners, tenants, boards and investment committees.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point capabilities.
