Job Summary: We are seeking a proficient ITIL IT Asset Management Specialist to oversee the lifecycle of IT assets within this major organisation.
This is a permanent role starting ASAP with fantastic career advancement opportunities.
Candidates must possess a baseline or NV security clearance, due to the nature of work undertaken.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement IT asset management policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with ITIL standards.
Establish and maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals.
Track the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to organizational guidelines.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to validate asset data accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to optimize asset procurement processes, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective asset acquisition.
Monitor asset utilization and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
Coordinate with IT service management teams to integrate asset management processes into service delivery workflows.
Requirements: Successful candidates will possess: ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT asset management or a related field.
Proficiency in IT asset management tools and Service Now software.
Ability to start with 2 weeks notice.
