About the Role We have an opportunity available for a Jams Senior Developer to join our growing company! This will be offered as a permanent, full-time position based at our office on Collins Street, Melbourne.
Reporting to the Applications Manager, the Senior Developer will be working with the JAMS (Job and Asset Management System) system, primarily developing in and around web technologies.
The role will involve development activities related to the JAMS application and platform using.
NET, Typescript, React JS, Angular JS, SQL.
The JAMS system is an in-house software system that is used throughout Service Stream to manage their maintenance contracts and to enhance efficiency and productivity.
The solution offers tools for work order management, asset management, resource and inventory management, cost control, field mobility, GIS/mapping etc.
Responsibilities: Scoping requirements of business needs will be required.
Producing clear documentation of requirements and solutions.
Liaise with the Application Manager to review proposed development.
Self project manage the delivery of your solutions.
Report progress to the Business and Application Manager through JAMS tools and JIRA.
Note, an agile and progressive/iterative approach is used and will require constant communication with the business.
To learn, adopt and use the standard development and testing techniques, conventions, patterns etc used in JAMS.
To produce timely and good quality work that satisfies the business overall.
Produce technical documentation, user documentation and conduct training as required.
On completion of any work to provide BAU support to the business including triaging of issues, implementing fixes/tweaks, modifications or improvements.
The scale of the above can range from hours to weeks.
Continually look at opportunities to improve operational processes and solutions as a key member of the business.
Some occasional local and interstate travel may be necessary.

About You: A good all-round knowledge of technical applications and platforms, especially those relevant to web.
A high level in the core competencies of HTML, CSS, Java Script, Chrome Dev Tools, npm and Git.
A high level of proficiency in building React JS components, at least 2 years.
A high to good understanding and experience with.
NET. A good understanding and some experience using SQL, preferably MS SQL Server.
Prior experience working in Telecommunication, Gas, Electricity and Water Utilities industry domains is preferred.
Knowledge of work management systems is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
