An outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate to join a worldwide leading system integrator in tolling, ITS & tunnel management systems design, development and deployment.
This role would suit a recent electrical/electronic engineering graduate and/or those with Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) experience.
The Junior ITS/Electrical Engineer will be working on the West Gate Tunnel Project and reporting to the ITS Delivery Manager.
The role will support the delivery of the ITS subsystems, including the power distribution, control system, ITS cabinets, and detection systems.
This role is fixed until March 2025.
Responsibilities: Review and analysis of project requirements; Participation in systems implementation, configuration, testing and commissioning; Support the procurement and testing processes of the ITS subsystems; Review and update of design reports, drawings, spreadsheets, schedules, and asset register.
Requirements: The preferred candidate will be a recent graduate in electrical/electronic engineering.
Experience in the ITS sector is highly desirable and will be looked at favourably.
The preferred candidate will also have: Understanding of PLCs and industrial communication protocols; Work or academic experience with electrical design software; Experience configuring commercial electronic/electromechanics equipment; Basic understanding of communication networks and user level in computer systems (virtual machines, servers, operative systems); Knowledge of the AS 3000 Wiring Standards; MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point); Working knowledge and/or experience with cable sizing, cabinets, and switchboards; The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
