About Us: The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising Corrections Victoria, Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.
Corrections Victoria is responsible for the implementation of policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners and that seek to rehabilitate offenders.
About the Role: At the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC), each Justice Officer role specialises in one of four streams – Records/Property, Finance/Stores and Administration.
This position will require direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work.
Some of your duties will include: Collating Case Management Review Committee schedules and communicate scheduling to the location.
Providing secretariat services for a range of Case Management Review Committee Meetings.
Assisting the Offender Management Supervisor in specific prisoner assessment functions in accordance with Sentence Management Procedures.
About You: As an ideal candidate, you will possess: Well-developed computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Ability to notate meeting discussions accurately.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
Demonstrated experience in and/or understanding of working within a correctional environment is desirable.
Qualifications: Previous experience in case management and/or administrative experience is desirable but not mandatory.
