Your New Role Drive impactful change as a leader in Child, Youth, and Family Services—empowering teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring efficient, high-quality operations across Victoria. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee a team of leaders, drive integrated practice, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery that align with Kids First's values and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and supervision to leaders and teams delivering services to children, youth, and families across Victoria. Drive operational excellence by managing programs to achieve performance targets, practice standards, and budget objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-informed practice. Represent Kids First in key stakeholder engagements and advocate for the program. Ensure compliance with quality, risk, and legislative requirements while embedding child safety practices. Support professional development, mentoring, and recruitment of staff. About You You are a compassionate, experienced leader with a deep understanding of child, youth, and family services. You are committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and families, promoting integrated practice, and building a high-performing team.
Key Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, family therapy, or a related field. Proven experience in operational management, especially within child, youth, and family services. Expertise in risk assessment for family violence, child and family functioning, and mental health. Strong skills in mentoring, change management, and building partnerships. Commitment to continuous improvement and trauma-informed practices. Demonstrated ability to work with cultural and linguistic diversity (CALD) and promote cultural safety. Current Working with Children Check and willingness to undertake a Police Check.
