We're recruiting for an experienced Lead Rail Engineer , reporting to our Design Group Manager to join our growing team in Melbourne We are looking for game changing professionals who are leaders in their field & looking to make their mark in exchange for a diverse career among our inclusive team of technical experts.
The tasks you'll perform: Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the Client's representative that opens the lines of communication and to assist in winning projects for the design team.
Maintain the quality of output produced from the multi-discipline engineering and drafting team to ensure deliverables are met to high-level of accuracy.
Ensuring technical solutions delivered during the study and design phases are compliant with design review processes and design quality requirements.
Monitoring the progress and performance of project design teams and give input and provide feedback and support where necessary.
Coaching and mentoring engineers and draftspersons through practical guidance during the design and commissioning phases of projects.
Provide technical support and input to proposals, customer presentations, and other marketing / business development activities.
Prepare design scope, budget and schedule for written proposals.
The expertise you'll bring: 10 years post graduate experience in rail design and/or rail engineering Member of Engineers Australia with Chartered Status (CPEng) is desirable.
Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Proven experience managing the interaction with Clients on design and drafting issues.
High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of engineering designs and calculations.
Experience in Design and Project management.
