We are seeking a professional to lead the Workplace Relations team and develop practical solutions to meet demands and needs, advising and actively influencing people and business decisions to achieve positive results and rationale and sound outcomes.
This is a Full Time, Permanent position.
While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster in line with our hybrid working model.
About the role Reporting to the Director People Services, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Monitor and/or direct action on complex case management and senior workplace relations requests, complaints and other requirements, regularly participating in case conferences where necessary.
Understand and manage organisational workplace risks and dependencies, identifying and reporting on emerging issues, devising strategies to prevent, minimise or resolve disputes.
Ensure the delivery of all workplace relations services are within designated and approved departmental budget and seek sign off from the Director People Services where expenditure may exceed budget.
Implement approved plans and strategies within budget parameters and time frames, develop strategies to reduce costs against the approved budget.

About you The ideal candidate is an experienced influencer and negotiator with extensive management and leadership experience who also possesses: A postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification in Human Resources or Law with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high level relevant experience.
Extensive relevant industrial and employee relations experience.
Demonstrated professional expertise and experience providing authoritative, expert industrial advice to senior levels of a public sector organisation.
Ability to influence and gain the trust of an Executive team.
Experience as an industrial relations advocate before the Fair Work Commission.
Strong working knowledge of industrial instruments, principles and frameworks.
