plus 17% super About the Role We are excited to offer two Education Focused Lecturer positions within the School of Bio Sciences, centred on teaching in the first-year biology program.
You will play a key role in delivering engaging and innovative learning experiences across various formats, including seminars, tutorials, practicals, and workshops.
Your responsibilities will include: Deliver different class formats (seminars, tutorials, practicals, field trips and workshops) across the first-year biology program.
Contribute to the administrative load associated with the first-year program.
Contribute to the development of curriculum and subject/course materials.
Participate in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (So TL) activities.
Participate in funding bids for teaching initiatives and So TL projects.
Who We Are Looking For You will have experience as a demonstrator, tutor, or junior lecturer in biology, with a proven track record of developing subject materials for tertiary-level courses.
Additionally, you will have: Sound knowledge of introductory level biology.
Evidence of expertise in a specific area of biology as demonstrated by completion of a Ph D in a relevant field of biology.
Graduate Certificate of University Teaching or equivalent formal teaching training.
Experience lecturing and teaching practical activities at the tertiary level.
Experience developing subject materials for tertiary level courses in biology.
This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
