We're looking for a full-time Legal Assistant to join our highly-regarded retail leasing team at Gadens in Melbourne.
Your responsibilities:
Preparation of documents and correspondence
File maintenance – opening, closing and archiving files (electronic and physical filing)
Secretarial/administrative support to multiple authors
Attending to telephone calls and enquiries (incoming and outgoing)
Preparing bills, cheque requisitions and other accounts related matters
Maintaining databases and contact registers for fee earners
Preparation and collation of mail including scanning, faxing, and printing
Arranging Titles Office registration by paper and PEXA
Other general financial and administrative tasks
About you:
Previous administrative/secretarial experience in a law firm or relevant transferable administrative experience (property experience would be advantageous but not essential)
A desire to be trained and learn from highly experienced colleagues
A history of successfully working in a high volume, fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage competing priorities and time constraints practically and effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A team player with a team-first approach, capable of working with team members of varying levels
