About the role The ML Data Engineer is a key role within Data Platforms, responsible for delivering innovative and sustainable data driven solutions to contribute to Sportsbet's competitive advantage in the Machine Learning domain. This is an exciting opportunity within our industry leading Data Science team, delivering cutting edge customer facing ML models and optimising their performance, along with delivering key components back into our international Flutter brands for wider use. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery: Translating Data Science experiments into hardened production solutions, including robust feature engineering, model scoring/inference, and production monitoring. Set up necessary feature pipelines, CI/CD pipelines. Advocate for best engineering practices within the team. Leading estimation of delivery effort and timeline for taking ML solutions to production. Platform Operations: Optimise models/solutions to ensure we support our service levels and minimise spend. Support what we build - taking ownership of production issues, working with stakeholders through to resolution. Identifying and managing ML operational risks. Performance tuning and optimisation across our platforms to ensure optimal usage of resources. About You Solid development experience in a cloud first, data centric organization. Solid software development experience preferably in Python or Java. Experience in building and maintaining solutions running in production environments at scale. Experience with Feature Engineering and ML concepts and delivery.
