Working alongside Partner Mark Henry and the wider team, this role will work within a team of high performing lawyers in undertaking merits review for a Commonwealth Government agency.This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team and assist in the supervision of a high performing practice. Day to day you will have the following responsibilities:Finalising litigation strategies and statements of issuesConducting directions hearings and case conferencesManaging substantive hearingsSolicitor advocacy at hearings and finalising briefs to CounselUndertaking complex statutory interpretation.About youIn order to be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:At least 5+ years post qualification experience, ideally with experience in government advisory work and litigation.Strong solicitor advocacy experience and expertise.Experience mentoring team members with excellent communication skills and a collegiate approach.You may have a background of working in government and be keen to make your first move into a law firm.
