THE ROLE We are a small and intimate business, but growing! You will report to the Financial Controller and will also work closely with key Finance and Support team members.
You'll be based in our Head Office, in Melbourne CBD, right at the heart of our company.
There will be times you'll need to be in the office yet there is endless flexibility to work from home.
This is a new role for our business and we see it as being essential to insert proactive controls to ensure accuracy in accounting records and timely management reporting.
You will do this by leading the continuous improvement of processes&procedures, to find efficiency within the Finance team&simplify reporting for the wider business and our Executive Leadership team.
Key focused areas: Prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis on Budget Vs Actual analysis Assist in annual budget; regular forecasting and cash flow management Providing ad hoc financial analysis as required, to support commercial decision making Lead the key tasks for month-end accounting close to achieving reporting timelines Work with FC&external professionals, on the annual audit process and tax returns to ensure all statutory reporting and regulations are met by all regions Technical advice on book-keeping to ensure reporting is of a high standard Liaise with external tax advisors for timely lodgement of tax affairs (e.g.
IAS; BAS; FBT; Payroll Tax etc) for all regions WHO ARE YOU? Your greatest strengths are your exceptional attention to detail.
You are/have the ability to: an independent&pragmatic thinker, responsive and proactive organised and methodical commercially astute establish a trusted advisor relationship with internal&external stakeholders predict and prevent issues and risks Skills and experience you will ideally have: 3+ years of related experience in Accounting&/or Finance Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA Advanced computer software skills, including Xero and Excel/Googlesheet model building Strong technical accounting skills (AASB/IFRS) Experience working in multiple jurisdictions around the world (desirable) High level of commercial acumen, with the ability to solve complex problems Saa S industry experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Motivated to work independently and able to collaborate as part of a team If you embrace change and are looking to work in a small and dynamic team that will challenge AND support you; if are sometimes serious and sometimes playful...let's talk.
