As such, we are seeking a Manager, Education Support (Sydney Medical School) to join our Education portfolio to lead and manage the education support team across multiple sites (campus and clinical schools) to ensure the successful delivery of the Sydney Medical Program, and in collaboration with the Director of the Sydney Medical Program, take the lead on developing strategies to continuously improve and monitor quality and performance of the program's delivery, whilst supporting our clinical schools: Central Clinical School Children's Hospital Westmead Clinical School Concord Clinical School Nepean Clinical School Northern Clinical School Westmead Clinical School School of Rural Health (Dubbo/Orange) Currently there is a requirement for these positions to be on-site a minimum of 4 days a week, with a 1 day a week hybrid working.
Hybrid working options will be decided with your manager if you are successful in this position.

Whilst predominantly based at Camperdown, the role requires travel to locations in the Greater Sydney region.
Your key responsibilities will be to: provide operational advice and guidance on matters of education strategy and policy, including an understanding of the key education priorities of FMH, precincts and schools ensuring that any activity is targeted and prioritised accordingly.
provide strategic advice and operational leadership to the Director of the Sydney Medical Program in the delivery of the Sydney Medical Program, monitoring and reporting on progress and identifying and making recommendations to address implementation challenges.
provide effective leadership, management guidance and support of the education teams operating in the SMS, and across precincts, including direction to staff on education goals and education specific strategies, including context, impact, and priorities.
lead a diverse education-focused team to ensure timely delivery of quality educational programs, with a customer-oriented, service provision mentality.
establish and nurture strategic and operational relationships with partners connected to education delivery, and coordinate the educational or teaching and curriculum reporting, record management and compliance requirements for the work area.
About you To be successful in this role, you have: demonstrated ability to translate and implement strategic changes into local operational practices that enhance the work area's administrative function.
excellent client focus with the ability to build partnerships between the faculty education team and the schools leadership teams.
proven leadership and management skills, including proven ability to develop, mentor and motivate staff, to operate well in a team environment and to resolve a range of HR issues.
experience delivering education programs, preferably in a tertiary education environment.
effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.
