Role Description The Manager – Hillston Backpackers oversees the property management, service delivery, and guest services of the Hillston Backpackers in Hillston NSW. HB Billeting Pty Ltd is a related entity of Redland Operations Pty Ltd. The role will involve the following: Oversee the daily operations of the facility ensuring guests have a comfortable stay. Develop and implement systems and processes to improve operational efficiency. Analyse operational data to identify areas of improvement. Manage budgets and costs efficiently. Ensure profitability of operations are met. Develop and implement emergency response plan. Conduct regular training intervals for staff ensuring they are aware of occupational health and safety requirements. Ensure facility has adequate safety equipment in place. Hire staff members required for operations. Direct staff to ensure property is well managed. Ensure accommodation facility meets or exceeds guest expectations. Resolve guest complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Primary Responsibilities Property Management Rooms management and allocation of accommodation rooms and units to guests. Hosting. Project management of maintenance and upkeep of rooms and units. Service Delivery Cashier Management & reconciliation. Banking and associated financial activities. Guest Services Reception, check-in and check-out services, transport support. Pastoral care of guests, ensuring guests' needs are delivered and exceeded. Inbound and outbound bookings management. Recreational and social activities and support (i.e. Gym, tours, movie nights). Experience and Qualifications Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree. 3+ years relevant experience in Accommodation Management, guest services. Skills Project Management, Inventory Control, Database Management. Competencies Communication Skills: Ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and effectively to different audiences. Teamwork and Collaboration: Capacity to work well with others, contribute positively to team dynamics, and collaborate toward common goals. Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to build trust and rapport to enable a supportive environment for collaboration and foster stakeholder engagement. Time Management: Effective prioritisation and organisation of tasks to meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently. Initiative: Proactive approach to taking on responsibilities, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing beyond assigned tasks. Summary of Role Requirements Flexible hours available. 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role. Working rights required for this role.
