Join us, as we contribute to this significant mission in the energy sector! About the Team & the Position The Digital Division enables the delivery of AEMO's obligations through technology and improves outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
Digital provides services to internal AEMO business units, employees, contractors, subsidiaries such as AEMO Services Ltd, external government bodies, and market participants.
As a member of the CPIN (Cloud Platform & Infrastructure) leadership team, the Manager Design and Assurance is accountable to securely design, manage engineering assurance process and documentation, technical standards, design control, configuration guidelines across all CPIN capabilities.
The Design and Assurance team is accountable for the secure design and assurance of AEMO's key enabling technology Infrastructure.
Position Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the AEMO business and the Digital Leadership team to lead the Design and Assurance team, operating with integrity, being compassionate, being authentic and taking accountability, embracing change, empowering, and engaging team members to deliver on AEMO's business needs.
Produce high quality best practice infrastructure designs that encompass secure by design principles.
Work effectively across a wide range of engineering and security areas to ensure standards are defined and met.
Ensure that assurance activities and outcomes are appropriate and complementary.
Develop an effective commitment to the documentation of and compliance with standards.
Prepare and report on assessment findings and associated risks.
Develop and manage engineering documentation, technical standards, design control, configuration guidelines.
Forecast needs and technical trends to avoid market instability, cost blowouts or inability to meet business needs.
Position Requirements Skills & Experience: Proven experience design and assurance in technology infrastructure environments.
Strong experience in real-time, business-critical technology environments.
Expertise in IT security design in a critical infrastructure environment.
Decision making in ambiguity.
Proficient in managing complexity and competing priorities.
Experience in efficiently managing organisational change.
Build relationships and trust at all levels.
Proficient in managing budgets and controlling costs.
Leading leaders and leading through leaders.
Breadth of experiences in technical/functional domain.
Risk awareness and management.
Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to attain and maintain an appropriate level of national security clearance.
Education/Professional Certifications: Tertiary and/or post-graduate qualifications in an appropriate technology discipline or appropriate experience.
Relevant security clearance as advised.
