The role is responsible for overall management of Home Loan Specialists who provide home lending solutions to Retail customers. Key performance indicators include improving speed to competency, sales proficiency across home lending and everyday banking, lender quality, operational excellence, and customer experience outcomes.The role and Day to day will include:You will observe and coach your Bankers to confirm they engage in high quality customer conversations that clearly establish and verify a customers' financial position and needs. You will also oversee Banker funnel management and support them in providing our customers with a seamless and exceptional experience. Further responsibilities of this influential role include:Responsible for the onboarding, coaching, and training of Home Loan SpecialistsUse strong relationship and coaching skills to achieve business goals through the leadership of people and other key stakeholders including the development of quality internal and external networks.Accountable for the effective deployment of resources within their team including career/succession planning, staff leave, management and recruitmentManage operational and legislative risk effectively and have a genuine focus on continuous improvement and executional excellenceFoster a collaborative and open communication environment within the team. Allocate resources effectively to ensure efficient operations and customer service across your local area marketMonitor individual and team performance, make decisions regarding performance feedback including: recognition, incentives, and performance improvement plans as necessaryWhat skills & experience will I bring?8+ years' experience in retail/commercial banking and/or credit assessment & management, with a proven track record in sales and a passion for customer serviceRelevant compliance and sales/service leadership training including lending accreditationSound knowledge and skills in Banking regulations, practices, and procedures; credit assessment and associated issues; full range of Bank products; Company / commercial law; Accounting principles and practicesHigh levels of individual performance and the ability to know how to get that performance from a diverse team.Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of achieving results through peopleThe ability to lead group discussions, identify future business opportunities and implement complex national strategic plans.Strong coaching and mentoring skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with all potential business partners and stakeholders to meet acceptable mutual objectives and plans.At NAB, we're intent on building a culture we can all be proud of.
