+ Laundry allowance, superann As a Graduate Maternal & Child Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, comprehensive health services for families with children aged 0-6 years.
Through primary health care, health promotion, and early identification of health concerns, you'll help strengthen the health and wellbeing of families in our community.
This role follows the "Universal Key Age and Stage Framework," offering flexibility to cater to the unique needs of each child and family.
Key Responsibilities: Provide health consultations and support for families with children aged 0-6, focusing on health promotion, early intervention, and development tracking.
Conduct and record health and developmental reviews in line with the Maternal & Child Health Service guidelines.
Support families through health promotion, parenting information, and early intervention strategies.
Identify and address health concerns in children, referring to allied health and community services where necessary.
Organise and facilitate parent groups to offer guidance, education, and peer support.
Engage with diverse families, offering tailored, evidence-based advice on child and family health.
Ensure client data is recorded securely, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Participate in Business Continuity and Emergency Management activities when needed.
Experience and Skills We're Looking For We're looking for a compassionate, skilled, and adaptable professional who is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and families.
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Qualification in Maternal & Child Health nursing.
In-depth knowledge of child development, maternal health, and early intervention strategies.
Strong understanding of the Universal Key Age and Stage Framework.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build trust with families from diverse backgrounds.
Experience in health promotion and community education.
Ability to handle stressful situations, demonstrate resilience, and adapt to change.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice.
Familiarity with relevant legislative requirements, including child protection and mandatory reporting.

Full-time Temporary position until 22 December 2025 (parental leave backfill) (76 hours per Fortnight).
Hourly rate from $53.43 per hour, plus $1.87 per hour for a Higher Qualifications Allowance and a laundry allowance, as well as 11.5% superannuation.
