Responsibilities: Merchant Acquiring Solutions: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of merchant acquiring processes, including transaction flows, settlement, and reconciliation.
Design and architect end-to-end solutions for merchant onboarding, payment processing, and settlement.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Scheme Compliance: Ensure compliance with payment schemes (such as Visa, Mastercard, and Amex) and industry standards (PCI DSS, EMV).
Stay informed about changes in regulations and adapt the architecture accordingly.
Payment Service Integration: Work closely with development teams to integrate payment gateways, APIs, and third-party services.
Optimize payment flows for efficiency and reliability.
EFTPOS Device Integration: Architect solutions for integrating EFTPOS devices with merchant systems.
Address compatibility, security, and performance considerations.
Multi-Currency Acquiring: Design systems that support multi-currency transactions for international merchants.
Consider exchange rates, currency conversion, and settlement processes.
Fraud Detection: Collaborate with security teams to implement fraud detection mechanisms.
Leverage machine learning models, rule-based systems, and anomaly detection to identify suspicious activities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in merchant acquiring solutions within a banking or financial services environment.
Strong knowledge of payment protocols (ISO 8583, NDC, etc.) and industry trends.
Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and microservices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
