National Human Resources and Workplace Relations Manager A privately owned group of companies operating in the transport and warehousing sectors located along the eastern seaboard of Australia and Tasmania.
This is a new position created to develop and implement human resource strategies and policies, lead EBA negotiations, coach and mentor senior managers through human resources and industrial relations activities.
Responsibilities: Providing day to day advice, guidance and support to leaders and team members, regarding policies and procedures; Supporting leaders in the effective case management of people-related matters such as performance improvement, disciplinary processes, grievances and absenteeism; Assisting with workplace investigations and issue resolutions; Working and communicating with union representatives and consultative bodies, as required; Enterprise Agreement preparation and negotiations; Contributing to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of ER/IR policies and procedures; Provide end to end oversight of talent identification, recruitment, and recruitment marketing strategies; Develop and implement accurate employment contracts; Develop and prepare HR related documentation; Provide support in relation to workers compensation matters and assist with return-to-work coordination as required; Coordinate training and development programs; Maintain and manage HR records and employee databases; Provide support in implementing well-being and other HR initiatives; Develop clear policies and ensuring policy awareness and understanding; Oversee any people and culture or wellbeing project initiatives; Handling workplace investigations and disciplinary procedures if required; Ensure complete confidentiality is always maintained throughout the organization for all people and culture matters where applicable.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: A relevant qualification in human resources, industrial relations or equivalent; 5-10 years experience in a similar role; Excellent skills in and experience with Microsoft Office suite; Demonstrated experience in a highly unionised blue collar environment (Transport and Warehouse industry experience ideal); Strong analytical and problem solving skills; High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders; Understanding of Australian Awards, EA and legislative requirements; A dedicated self-starter with a proactive approach and able to work in a multi-functional environment; The ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
