We are seeking a Network Architect to manage architecture, design, integration, deployment, configuration, and fault management in highly complex technological environments. This role involves compiling clear and concise technical specifications, explaining the pros and cons of various options, and developing alternative solutions for backup planning. This role can be located within the regions of Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Role Requirements As Network Architect you will: Engage with clients both on-site and remotely to address complex solution requirements. Delegate tasks to technical delivery leads. Coordinate architecture design and escalation activities, leading by example, and monitoring work quality when necessary. Prepare reports, proposals, and maintain project documentation. Mentor and coach technical team. Participate in complex solutions, authoring and contributing to the architecture, design and implementation process. Work independently, taking ownership of relevant technologies within your domain or specialization. Monitor the quality of work produced by Technical Delivery Leads and Tower Leads, recommending continuous improvements. Liaise with vendors for priority escalations or bugs found during deployments. Work with Program Manager for overall program schedule and alignment. Perform any other related tasks as required. What will make you a good fit for the role? Strong project fundamentals demonstrated through successful installations and assignments. Proven ability to take ownership as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle. Extensive specialist knowledge and expertise in relevant domains. Significant experience in technical implementation engineering, particularly in Networking technologies. Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following technologies: EVPN VXLAN MPLS/Segment Routing Overlay/Underlay WAN technologies Security (VPN, Gateways, Secure access) F5 and Cisco technologies Management and Operational Readiness (ensuring solution and tools will support the needs of the operational team) Strong skills in Enterprise systems and solutions with multiple vendors technologies. Strong understanding of TOGAF and processes. Client-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to coach, mentor, and guide team members. Extensive experience in client engagement and conducting presentations. Strong report writing skills. Academic Qualification and Certifications The following qualifications and certifications will be looked upon favourably: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field. Professional level certifications in different Networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCIE, JNCIE, ACMP etc. Registered on Engineers Australia National Engineering Register in the category Professional Engineer – Nice to have.
