Location: Melbourne | Northern Metropolitan Job type: Fixed term - Part time Organisation: Austin Health Occupation: Health and Allied Health Reference: 1462 About the Medical and Cognitive Research Unit (MCRU) The Medical and Cognitive Research Unit (MCRU) is located at the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital campus of Austin Health and is tiered within the Continuing Care Clinical Service unit under the Aged Care Services.
MCRU has a strong and successful history in conducting numerous clinical trials in various neurodegenerative disorders, with a majority of trials focusing on Alzheimer's Disease.
The atmosphere with MCRU is energetic, friendly, and cohesive with a strong teamwork ethic amongst all staff members.
The unit comprises study coordinators, medical investigators, administrative staff, a recruitment officer, and neuropsychologists.
About the Neuropsychologist position MCRU has an exciting opportunity for a Neuropsychologist (Grade 2) to join our team at Austin Health for 3 days a week (preferably Wed-Fri) but for the right candidate, this is negotiable.
The role requires you to administer, score, and interpret neuropsychological evaluation and psychometric assessment in accordance with the research protocol.
About you You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and research.
Some experience with older people is favourable, especially those with cognitive and memory concerns.
You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
