Casual position available Ballarat area on Wadawurrung Country Casual rates begin at $56 - $59p/h + salary packaging + penalties It takes someone very special to work in Berry Street's Residential Care Program Your Opportunity The Night Residential Care House Supervisor will provide supervision, support, coaching and mentoring to a team of Night Residential Care Workers across the region to ensure a high quality, therapeutically focused care.
In addition, the Night Residential Care House Supervisor will attend to and respond to queries, incidents and concerns from staff in a prompt manner.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring overnight safety plans for young people in out of home care are met and will be based on-site from the houses.
On the Job, You Will: Manage the nightly operations of the Residential Care homes.
Provide leadership and supervision to Residential Care Workers.
Comply with reporting requirements for program components.
Administration and accountability of annual budgets and program planning.
Embedding a therapeutic framework by overseeing best practice implementation of Children and Young People's individual case management plans and fostering an outcomes-focused team.
Develop and assist with house rosters.
Your Skills and Experience: You're a team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, prioritizing the best interests of the young person.
Strong communication skills, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to multitask with ease.
Creative thinking and a non-judgmental approach to life.
A driver's license (minimum green P's) is essential for transporting young people.
A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification is required.
However, Berry Street is open to employing applicants committed to enrolling in a relevant qualification within three months of employment.
Applicants must complete the mandatory upskilling units as required by Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.
Continuing employment is dependent on satisfactory evidence provided within 6 months of being engaged in the role.
