The opportunity We are looking for an organised, reliable and detail-oriented person to support our Melbourne-based team, ensuring our office environment remains a great place to work, and to be the 'go-to' for the team.
If you are a self-starter who can contribute to a great work environment, we would love to hear from you! No two weeks will be the same; admin activities might include organising team social events, tracking office expenses and managing calendars.
Over time, you'll gain exposure to technology-led financial modelling and consulting skills.
As a student of a STEM degree, you will have an interest in a quantitative field, be willing to take on a variety of administrative tasks and be self-sufficient in finding solutions to meet business needs.
You will be comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to reprioritise tasks as needs arise, while ensuring activities are completed.
This is a part time role of around 15 hours per week during office hours, spread over three or four days and can be flexible around a university schedule.
As this role involves managing office resources and the work environment, the role holder will be expected to be based at our Melbourne CBD office.
Key responsibilities In addition to a range of ad hoc tasks, duties may include: Maintaining the office environment including equipment and stationary inventories and supply Liaising with facilities management on premises Office Health and Safety Representative Organisation of team socials, and other team, client, conference and corporate events Travel bookings for the team (domestic and international) and update of a Travel Tracker Diary and meeting management for the team Assisting with some aspects of bookkeeping (e.g.
entry of employee expenses, bills and invoices) Setting up bank payments Assisting with formatting of internal documents and client deliverables (Microsoft Word / Power Point) Updating Customer Relationship Management system New joiner screening and assisting with the onboarding process Skills and qualifications In your second year or later of a university STEM or Commerce degree Basic accounting knowledge or bookkeeping experience is desirable but not essential Good capability with Office 365, especially Word and Excel Ability to be pro-active, anticipating the administrative needs of the business Confident communicator, with the ability to keep multiple stakeholders up to date with progress Adaptable, flexible and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously Highly reliable – trusted to follow through on your word Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information Quick learner with a desire to upskill Pursues everything with energy and drive Genuinely cares about people Available and ready to help – a true team player How to apply Recruitment is a two-way process, so we'd love to know why this could be the place for you and what you are looking for to advance your career.
