This is where you come in! About the role As our new Operations Manager, you'll support the Asset Leader by managing multiple areas of the operations at our Newport power station.
Your primary focus will be leading the Operations team to deliver the Newport objectives whilst delivering a high performing Operations team.
This critical role will see you involved in the following: Ensure all documentation, procedures and instructions necessary to operate the plant safely, reliably, and efficiently are identified and managed in accordance with business policies and requirements.
Identify and manage risks to as Low As Reasonably Practicable using business-approved processes.
Provide oversight on all operational-based project work undertaken at Newport.
Ensure systems are in place to accurately record and report all data and incidents necessary to meet business and statutory requirements.
Stakeholder management and capability to liaise with trading, asset engineering, finance, and people and culture to integrate Newport Operations into the enterprise.
About you To excel as an Operations Manager, you'll need strong experience in leading site-based operational teams.
Success in this role will require a mix of technical skills, people leader skills, and a focus on safety.
10+ years' experience in an operational management position.
Senior thermal Power Station Operator or tertiary qualifications and/or experience commensurate with delivering the Power Station objectives.
Experience in managing medium-sized projects.
Extensive and detailed knowledge of power station plant operations requirements with at least ten years' experience in a senior operation or asset management role.
Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
