It plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight, and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division The People Strategy and Operations (VPS) division was established to: Provide end-to-end people services to the department's 4,000+ VPS employees.
Provide strategic workplace relations advice and support to the VPS and early childhood sectors.
Manage corporate office working places and environmental sustainability.
About the Role An exciting full-time and ongoing opportunity exists in the Organisational Development (OD) Unit within the Workforce Strategy and Capability Branch of the People Strategy & Operations (VPS) Division.
The OD Unit is responsible for designing and delivering the department's people development, performance, culture, and employee life-cycle initiatives such as: Leading the department's corporate leadership and capability development programs aligned to DE's Strategic intent, Strategic Plan, and Leadership Charter.
Leading initiatives to embed a culture of integrity and accountability aligned to the public sector values across all areas of the department.
Providing strategic advice and support to the corporate areas of the department in organisational capability, culture, and effectiveness.
Supporting best practice induction, performance management, and recognition strategies and processes.
This role contributes to the successful delivery of a range of organisational development (OD) programs, including work associated with the department's People Matter Survey, results analysis and roll-out, and supporting the Department's action planning processes and programs.
Other key OD projects led by the unit include performance development plans, recognition, and VPS values.
To be successful in this role, you will be solution and client-focused, with strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Your ability to establish and maintain productive relationships within the department and external organisations will be vital, along with your critical thinking and capacity to embrace innovation and continuous improvement.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources (Organisational Development) and/or Relevant tertiary qualification in Organisational Psychology.
