As the Packaging Team Leader, you will provide leadership and guidance to your team and ensure we deliver on our vision to bring enjoyment and connection to everyday moments in life.Please Note - The packaging department operates a 24/5 roster and as such this role requires the successful candidate to work a rotating roster with your team, 8-hour night, afternoon & day shifts. During Peak season weekend coverage may also be required.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide input into and promote health, safety, environment (HSE) and quality standards, as required and ensure all teamwork complies with relevant HSE standards.Manage process and product quality (packaging).Ensure and maintain GMP/HACCP and GFSI compliance standards.Support the implementation of all VPO Quality Pillar activities.Support a healthy industrial relations climate, while facilitating a high-performance team through guidance, coaching and mentoring.Coordinate maintenance of plant and equipment ensuring maximised plant availability and KPI achievement.Coordinate/support packaging maintenance team in planned and breakdown maintenance activities.Coordinate the application of call-out and escalation procedures when break downs (including utilities) occur after hours.Coordinate and support new product development, overhauls and project manage programs of work.About YouYou will be a self-starter who is able to drive and identify opportunities for improvements. Your solid communication skills will aid you when resolving conflict, leading your team and building relationships.Ideally you will also possess:A Tertiary qualification in either mechanical or electrical engineering or other appropriate tertiary qualification.Demonstrated experience within a packaging or operational manufacturing role.A strong Safety and Quality mindset with experience in HSE leadership and an understanding of Quality principles.Demonstrated experience in effective problem solving.Knowledge of GMP/HACCP and GFSI compliance standards.Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to influence others, particularly in a unionised and fast paced environment.Why Us?Asahi Beverages is a leading multi-beverage organisation with a rich and varied history.
