This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional looking for a fractional position or seeking part-time work. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning our HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a positive company culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to HR management, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work closely with all levels of the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Management: Partner with the CEO and management team to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals. Provide expert HR advice and guidance to leaders on various people-related matters. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company values and legal requirements. Employee Relations and Culture: Foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with Meir's core values: Trust & Respect, Above & Beyond, Positive Vibes, and Driven to Excel. Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, managing conflicts and cultural issues proactively. Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, including social events and team-building activities. Create and distribute engaging "introducing emails" for new team members. Performance Management and Development: Collaborate with managers to develop clear KPIs and growth plans for all employees. Implement and oversee a comprehensive performance management system. Guide managers in conducting effective performance reviews and having difficult conversations when necessary. Develop and implement a reward system for achieving KPIs and targets. Create individual development plans for employees, aligning personal growth with company objectives. Talent Acquisition and Retention: Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top talent. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to onboarding. Conduct exit interviews and analyse data to improve retention strategies. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Provide guidance on HR-related decisions to mitigate legal risks. Stay updated on changes in employment law and implement necessary policy updates. HR Operations and Reporting: Implement and manage HRIS systems to streamline HR processes. Prepare regular reports on key HR metrics for the CEO and management team. Change Management: Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and robust employee support. Communicate changes effectively to all staff members. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR roles, with at least 3 years in a strategic HR position. Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and best HR practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organisation. Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with company values and objectives. Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Employment Hero, ELMO, Culture Amp).
