PAYROLL MANAGER, CHRIS21 | MELBOURNE Contract: Until end of January, with potential for ongoing Pay: $69.41-$76.70 p/h + Super Location: Melbourne, CBDWork Model: Hybrid (2 WFH), Start ASAP Role Overview: Lead this government payroll team, managing payroll operations for 480 employees using Chris21.
This hands-on role involves system governance, team management, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee various aspects of payroll processing using Chris21, working cohesively with other relevant teams Lead and train the payroll team Manage payroll adjustments, variations, and changes Handle leave reconciliations, onboarding, and terminations Generate reports and derive insights from Chris21 Implement and maintain payroll governance Drive system enhancements and process improvements Ensure accurate and timely auto-pay for 480 employees Requirements: Extensive experience with Chris21 payroll system Proven track record in payroll management within the public sector (desirable) Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance Experience in team leadership and training Proficiency in payroll reporting and data analysis Ability to implement governance and drive system enhancements Desired Qualities: Process improvement mindset Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Adaptability and willingness to be hands-on Additional Information: Opportunity to add value through process improvements Potential for role to become ongoing beyond January To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter highlighting your experience with Chris21, payroll management, and process improvement initiatives within the government sector.
