About the role: What you need to know: This resource is responsible for contributing 30% of the total budget for the line (13 million USD), mainly to increase new business for offline strategy in 2.2 million USD by analyzing around 1,600 submissions for new business, quoting 1,200 offers, and binding around 300 new policies.
This requires providing timely responses and creating business relations with brokers, promoting AIG GO business strategy through visits and training in CDMX and AIG offices in Monterrey, Tijuana, and Puebla.
Additionally, the UW is responsible for the renewal process of policies with loss history, ensuring guidelines and profitability for renewal accounts, analyzing terms and conditions for renewals to achieve a total renewal budget of 9.8 million USD, and monitoring business drivers such as rate and exposure changes.
The UW is also responsible for portfolio maintenance and special programs following AIG GO strategy.
Your contribution at AIG: The employee will manage a portfolio of 4.3 million USD, analyze around 530 new business submissions, quote approximately 400 businesses, and bind around 100 new policies per year.
Duties and Responsibilities: Mainly attend business submissions over 5 K USD (average premium), selecting those that meet guidelines and risk appetite, analyzing, and presenting quotations, following up and negotiating to bind a new policy while maintaining communication with the distribution team.
Participate in the monthly renewal process, ensuring guidelines are met, and analyze renewal terms and conditions for accounts with losses to achieve profitable results.
Maintain portfolio requests, providing timely responses to the issuance team to process requirements.
Interact with other AIG areas to provide requested information, such as Claims, to facilitate the claims process.
Maintain UW information profiles properly documented, including UW summary and analyses.
Attend external clients to promote, train agents and brokers, and strengthen relationships to increase new business opportunities.
Collaborate with different internal areas for timely resolution of services outside response times.
Participate in activities and provide information to prepare reports and monitor results, KPIs, and other required information.
Participate in assigned projects to improve operations, such as automation processes.
Accountabilities: Achieve individual goals with UW discipline established in the annual budget, contribute to team goals for new business strategy and retention portfolio, ensure proper accomplishment of UW guidelines, and participate actively in projects involving UW participation.
Leadership Skills: Excellent communication skills, time management, ability to contribute effectively within a team environment, and assist with technical training as required.
Technical Skills and Expertise: Office Package: Intermediate or advanced level of Excel, Word, Outlook.
Bachelor's Degree in actuary, engineering, administration, or similar field.
What we are looking for: Experience: At least 1 year of experience in Personal Property Underwriting or knowledge of Property Terms & Conditions.
Medium to advanced English.
People management experience is a plus.
Proven experience in handling problems with agents, brokers, and clients, along with necessary technical and soft skills.
