About the facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the Mc Kellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region.
Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
General Medicine is the core of medicine at Barwon Health with a group of engaged clinicians delivering care to patients both on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
In the Hospital setting, it provides care on 3 medical wards plus a short stay unit (RAPU).
It provides teaching opportunities for students and junior doctors and is engaged in research and quality improvement activities.
It is increasingly looking beyond the hospital to chronic disease management and prevention.
About the role We are currently seeking an experienced General Physician on a casual sessional basis.
Our General Medicine Unit is a team-oriented department which fosters a multi-disciplinary approach to patient management with a primary focus of delivering consumer-centered care.
