12-24 MTH CONTRACT ROLE HYBRID WORKING SET UP - Western Suburbs Melb A REAL CAREER DEFINING ROLE Full Job Description This global organisation has a huge D365 Fin Ops (D365 FO) project underway and requires the services of a Power BI Developer for an 18-24 mth contract.
This is a hybrid role that will require 3 days in the office.
The IT Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
This role involves transforming raw data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards and reports, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
Responsibilities Business Intelligence Visualisation Design Design Business Intelligence reports and dashboards using Power BI to meet business requirements.
Gather and understand business requirements for data visualization and analysis.
Business Intelligence Visualisation Development Develop and implement Business Intelligence reports and dashboards using Power BI to meet business requirements.
Create complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis.
Ensure data security and compliance with best practices.
Participate on IT projects as a technology SME.
Data Platform Support Collaborate with integration engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes.
Collaborate with the relevant team members to engineer and support data platform – Microsoft Fabric.
Monitor and Support Monitor and maintain Business Intelligence reports to ensure data accuracy, high availability, and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in produced Business Intelligence reports as required.
Documentation Develop and maintain documentation for integration solutions, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
Experience: Mandatory Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation.
Strong understanding of data modelling and data visualization concepts.
Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
Desirable Microsoft Power BI certifications.
Experience in data platform support and data lakehouse projects.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
