Balwyn Central Vet Hospital is looking for a Full-Time Practice Manager to join their amazing team! Balwyn Central Vet is among the leading Veterinary Practices in Melbourne and is one of only nine ASAVA-accredited Hospitals of Excellence in Victoria.
We provide a large range of veterinary services including preventative healthcare, medicine, surgery, blood/urine testing, radiography, ultrasonography, and endoscopy.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Practice Manager to join our busy team.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team, and veterinary industry experience is highly desired.
The Role: We have a very strong team and feel it's the right time to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Practice Manager to lead our Veterinary practice.
The Practice Manager's responsibility will be to oversee the effective operations of the practices, this will include: Leading and managing the team to ensure our great culture is maintained and the highest standards of patient care are being delivered at every level.
Working with the Regional Manager to develop and implement business plans.
Providing professional and competent support to the team and playing an active role in their development plans.
Develop effective organisation systems and protocols to maximise efficiency and smooth workflow.
Organising rostering, workforce planning, recruitment, health and wellbeing, recognition awards and people performance.
Managing the financial performance of the clinic, stock control, procurement, accounts, budgets, and profit and loss.
Bringing a transparent leadership style focused on collaboration and engagement.
What we are looking for: Veterinary Nurse with 3+ years' experience, seeking the next step in their career is highly desirable.
Previous Practice management experience in small business management or supervision, particularly within a healthcare/similar industry.
An ability to lead and manage a dynamic and high achieving team.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated client relationship building skills.
A hard-working and hands-on approach to your work.
A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved at all levels, with energy and drive.
Effective time management and organisation skills.
Sound business knowledge and financial understanding with the ability to review financial information, set and achieve targets, and implement effective plans.
