We are looking for a Practice Nurse to join our team.
We are looking for someone who would be happy to work as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes GPs, nurses, HCAs, phlebotomists, dispensers, medical receptionists, pharmacists & social prescribers.
The role: Ideally, you will have experience of practice nursing and be confident in delivering child immunisations, cervical cytology, wound care, chronic disease management, travel immunisations & ECGs.

This is a part-time position of 24 hours per week worked over 3 days, Monday, Tuesday & Friday.

Main duties of the job Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care.
Such tasks will include: Child and baby immunisations Adult immunisations including Shingles, Pneumonia, Flu, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Pertussis, etc.
Travel vaccinations including Yellow Fever (Training will be given) Asthma & COPD monitoring (Training will be given) Diabetic monitoring Cervical smears Wound care (primary & secondary) and dressings including compression bandaging Suture removal Assisting G.
P with insertion of Zoladex implants Assisting during insertion of IUD and contraceptive implants Changing of male, female and supra-pubic urinary catheters, including catheter flushing ECGs Requesting basic pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs All tasks to be entered through an appropriate Template.
