The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of advanced DER technologies, ensuring they meet performance, efficiency, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and optimisation of DER systems, including solar PV, battery storage, and demand response.
Oversee engineering projects from concept through to deployment and operation.
Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance DER performance and integration.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align DER solutions with strategic objectives.
Conduct technical analysis and simulations to support system design and optimisation.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation and specifications for DER systems.
Manage relationships with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and technology providers.
Monitor and analyse DER system performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments.
Lead efforts to integrate new technologies and advancements into DER projects.
Develop and present reports on project progress, performance metrics, and technical insights.
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to required quality standards.
Support the development of new business opportunities and strategies in the DER sector.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Extensive experience in the design and optimisation of DER systems.
Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, including solar, storage, and demand response.
Proven track record of leading engineering projects and teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
Experience with engineering software and simulation tools.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to DER.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
