YOUR ROLE As a Principal, you will lead a joy-filled community where students, staff, and families can flourish within a Catholic context.
Your leadership will enable the vision of the school to be realised, creating an environment where everyone can reach their full potential.
This role will work in collaboration with MACS, staff members, local Parish Priest, and the broader School community to achieve the identified goals of the School.
ABOUT OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL SCHOOL Our Lady of Good Counsel School, officially opened on 29 January 1924, currently serves 178 students.
As a Catholic primary school, students are central to everything Our Lady of Good Counsel School does, educating learners to be critical thinkers and to make connections to faith and life.
Together, the School develops confident, resilient, and hopeful students with a lifelong love of learning.
ABOUT THE COMMUNITY Our Lady of Good Counsel School serves the Parishes of Deepdene & Balwyn and Camberwell.
The school strengthens collaborative partnerships with parents, parish, and the wider community to enhance student learning and wellbeing, encouraging parents to engage in their child's education through various community activities.
MACS is looking for a Principal who will actively develop and encourage the full flourishing of all students, engage with the community, and grow school enrolments under their leadership.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Evidence of strong faith leadership through being an active member in good standing of a Catholic Church community.
Demonstrated ability in instructional leadership, including implementing evidence-based learning and teaching programs.
Commitment to fostering a workplace that prioritises the safety and wellbeing of all MACS employees and students.
Strong commitment to enrolment growth, financial stability, and risk mitigation while managing resources within a strategic plan.
Understanding and enactment of legislative and systemic compliance requirements applicable to all Catholic schools.
Attributes of justice and compassion in setting high standards for self and others in pastoral care and education.
Strong coaching and leadership skills to enable team growth and development.
