They are currently seeking a Project Development Manager - Wind Energy to spearhead the development of utility-scale wind projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that all initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of utility-scale wind energy projects across Australia.
Manage site selection and acquisition processes, ensuring optimal locations for wind farms.
Coordinate detailed feasibility studies, including wind resource assessments and grid integration plans.
Oversee environmental impact assessments and secure all necessary planning and regulatory approvals.
Engage with landowners, local communities, and government agencies to build project support.
Collaborate with engineering teams to refine project designs and optimise performance.
Prepare and manage comprehensive project timelines, budgets, and risk management plans.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, contractors, and other key partners.
Liaise with financial teams to structure project financing and ensure economic viability.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
Lead a multidisciplinary project team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Represent the organisation in stakeholder meetings, public consultations, and industry events.
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
At least 7 years' experience in managing large-scale wind energy projects, with a focus on utility-scale developments.
Proven expertise in the Australian energy market, including grid connection processes and regulatory frameworks.
Strong background in site acquisition, environmental approvals, and stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, from early-stage development through to construction and commissioning.
Excellent project management skills, with a focus on budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.
Familiarity with renewable energy financing, including PPA negotiations and investment structuring.
