Who we are looking for
We're looking for someone to join our dynamic Asset Creation team where you'll have the autonomy to manage your own projects, collaborate widely, and be well supported by the team.
The position of Project Manager Asset Creation is a three-year full-time contract, with a generous salary between $86,275 and $107,722 p.a. plus superannuation.
What you'll be doing
On a day-to-day basis, you'll:
Manage a portfolio of complex operational projects and programs through design, approvals, tender, contract administration, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
Support the Manager Capital Projects in the preparation, management, administration and successful delivery of capital projects.
Investigate, survey, provide design input and supervise engineering water and sewerage projects.
Collaborate with other Wannon Water teams and stakeholders to optimise and standardise project delivery processes and practices.
Use your own judgement when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders, and make decisions according to Wannon Water policy and industry best practice procedures to ensure projects are delivered safely, to a high quality, on time, and on budget.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone with:
A general understanding of contract documentation and procedures.
A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Project Management or Contract Management is preferred but not essential. Equivalent experience in the water and sewerage industry will also be considered.
An ability to research, estimate, specify, create, coordinate, report, evaluate tenders, innovate, engage, assess, contribute, monitor and work as part of a high performing and well-established team.
Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, consultative skills and excellent time management.
A high level of attention to detail, and the ability to follow engineering and contract administration processes.
