The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to join our client team on a landmark $500 M wastewater infrastructure project, focused on the construction of a major pump station.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure, pump station projects, or similar civil engineering works.
As a key player in the project team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day project operations, ensuring smooth progress, and coordinating with all stakeholders.
This is a site-based role, requiring hands-on project management and a keen willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.
Experience Project Management : Oversee daily project activities, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks to ensure the project progresses on time and within budget.
Pump Station Expertise : Apply your knowledge of wastewater infrastructure and pump stations to manage specific components of the project, ensuring technical specifications and quality standards are met.
Stakeholder Communication : Build and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Site Coordination : Attend site daily and participate in pre-start meetings before 7:00 am to brief the team and ensure all safety protocols and project objectives are understood.
Safety & Compliance : Ensure all on-site activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a culture of safety awareness across the project team.
Progress Reporting : Provide regular updates to senior project managers, documenting progress, challenges, and any variations to project plans.
Problem Solving : Act as a point of contact for resolving on-site challenges, making decisions, and escalating issues where necessary.
Documentation & Record Keeping : Ensure accurate record-keeping of project plans, work schedules, progress reports, and safety documents.
Teamwork : Actively participate as part of the broader project team, demonstrating professionalism, collaboration, and a desire to learn and grow within the role.
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
3-5 years of experience working on wastewater infrastructure projects, pump stations, or similar civil projects.
Knowledge of wastewater systems, pump stations, and civil construction methodologies.
Familiarity with project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic work environment.
You will need a valid driver's licence to attend the project site day to day.
Motivated to learn on the job, with a proactive approach to improving skills and knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with the project team and wider organisation.
