The Commission is the national end-to-end regulator of aged care services and the primary point of contact for consumers and providers in relation to quality and safety.

About the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) The purpose of the EPMO is to ensure that positive intentions are guided by disciplined program, project and change governance, resulting in the realisation of benefits in line with the Commission's strategic objectives.
The EPMO is comprised of three function and service areas: Governance and Tools, Implementation, QA, Audit and Analysis.
About the Role The role of the Project Manager is to support the ACQSC by managing Budget Measure, and other complex projects for 2024 and beyond, to meet the needs of the Commission as a regulator of aged care.
This role requires experience working in an Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), bringing onboard a combination of technical, financial, managerial, and interpersonal skills.
The Project Manager will need to keep abreast of the changes and updates in a regulatory landscape and their impact on the project/s.
Position Duties Apply the Commission's Project Governance Framework incorporating change management planning and use of the Portfolio and Project (PPM) Tool.
Plan, organise, execute, and control complex projects and manage the project scope, budget, quality, and risks.
Maintain project assurance via a dedicated Project Board and Steering Committee.
Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation in accordance with Commission records management processes.
Record and track against Risks and Issues by using the appropriate methods and escalation process when your project is tracking 'At Risk' or 'Red'.
Design and manage the risk mitigation plan.
Report regularly on project status for the Executive Leadership Group (ELG).
Manage and coordinate staff and internal resources as required, including support from Project Coordinator/s.
Establish and manage strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Procure services, contractors and consultancy as required including tender processes and contract management.
A can-do attitude and willingness to improve project and program management processes and the overall approach linking with EPMO.
Ability to communicate and anticipate risks and obstacles while adapting to the changing regulatory environment.
Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria): To be eligible for engagement candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time an offer is made.
Show satisfactory completion of a criminal history check.
Provide evidence of identity.
Commit to working in the office at least three days per week; the Commission's agile working offer is an opportunity to staff to work a 60/40 split between being in the office and working from home.
Recognised formal project management qualifications-PRINCE2/PMBOK/PMP/Managing Successful Programs (MSP) and/or equivalent.
The ability to write clear, concise, and accurate project management documents and reports.
Effective problem-solving skills are important to identify, analyse, and resolve challenges that may arise during the project.
Experience in a similar project support role (preferably worked in an EPMO environment).
Coordinating meetings, committees and working groups including production of agendas, minutes and managing records.
Strong written and oral communication skills demonstrated organisation skills and attention to detail.
Development and maintenance of stakeholder relationships.
Flexibility to work on multiple projects and priorities creating and managing integrated project schedules that align dependencies and deliverables, track progress and minimise risk.
Experience as a team player able to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment and willing to help.
Administration of Share Point/MS Teams.
Experience with Microsoft Office products to an advanced level.
Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement to achieve quality outcomes.
Position Notes: Salary offered will be between $114,247 - $130,300 per annum depending on skills and experience.
In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

Appointment is conditional on successfully completing a national police check.
Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term.
Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
