Project Manager (within Emergency Management) Full time, Fixed Term Contract until 31 October 2026 Attractive VPS 6 salary between $134,593 - $180,115 + superannuation Emergency Management includes the department's emergency management accountabilities delivered through Emergency Management Victoria, Emergency Recovery Victoria, Sector Performance and Reform and emergency management statutory entities and offices.
What will the role do? Lead, manage and deliver the upgrade of the Supplementary Emergency Alerting and Response Service application for the Emergency Services Organisation customers.
Manage review and approval of service provider/vendor project and technical deliverables.
Manage project registers, plans, schedules and delivery compliance.
Manage project control groups, including development and presentation of material.
Maintain high quality communication with key stakeholders.
What skills and knowledge should the Project Manager, Supplementary Emergency Alerting and Response Service (SEARS) have? Demonstrated 'hands on' experience in managing and delivering the implementation of large-scale technology projects through the full project management life cycle.
Experience working in a commercially sensitive environment where confidentiality of information is of utmost importance.
Demonstrated knowledge of project/program delivery including financial and status reporting.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Share Point, Microsoft Project and Microsoft 365.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the telecommunications industry in Australia.
Knowledge of emergency operational communications and/or emergency services sector (will be highly regarded).
Application development and lifecycle management experience (will be highly regarded).
