Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to work alongside a highly engaged Student Wellbeing Strategic Team and collaboratively with a Wellbeing Leader.
Experience in assessing, conceptualising and analysing wellbeing issues, providing evidence-based direct counselling for mental health issues.
Experience in planning and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies for children with complex needs.
Ability to develop, implement and evaluate policies and strategies relating to mental health and wellbeing.
Highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide leadership and professional learning that influences the work of others.
Responsibilities Work alongside the school Wellbeing Leader and collaborate with the Wellbeing Strategic Team to deliver on the Strategic Plan.
Deliver professional support services, including direct counselling for students with mental health issues.
Plan and implement evidence-based intervention strategies for students with complex needs.
Contribute to policies and operational practices guiding the work of wellbeing staff and teachers.
Provide leadership and professional learning to improve student outcomes.
Liaise with other Department areas and external service providers as necessary.
Maintain professional competence and continued professional learning.
Meet relevant policies and legislative requirements regarding student health information privacy.
